Frequently Asked Questions

✅ Do QR codes created with this tool expire?
No. QR codes encode data directly — they are not hosted links. A URL QR code will work as long as the destination website remains active. There is no expiry date set by this tool. Wi-Fi and text QR codes are entirely self-contained and never expire.

✅ What is the difference between PNG and SVG download?
PNG is a pixel-based image format — suitable for digital use (website, email, social media). SVG is a vector format that scales to any size without pixelation — ideal for all print use. For anything printed, always download SVG. For digital display at a set size, PNG is fine.

✅ Can I put my logo in the centre of the QR code?
Yes — but use High (H) or Maximum (Q) error correction level first. Higher error correction adds redundancy so the QR code can still be scanned even with part of it covered. Download the PNG, then overlay your logo in Canva or Photoshop covering no more than 20–25% of the centre.

✅ What size should I use for printing?
Download the SVG version for any print use — SVG is infinitely scalable with no quality loss. For digital use (website, email, social media), the PNG at 300px or 400px is ideal. For large format printing (posters, banners), select 600px PNG or use the SVG.

✅ Will colored QR codes scan reliably?
Yes — as long as there is strong contrast between the foreground and background colours. A dark navy (#000080) on white scans perfectly. Avoid light foreground colours on light backgrounds, or very similar shades of the same colour. When in doubt, test scan before printing.

✅ What is error correction level?
Error correction allows QR codes to be read even when partially damaged or obscured. Low (L) = 7% can be recovered; Medium (M) = 15%; High (Q) = 25%; Maximum (H) = 30%. Use High or Maximum if you plan to add a logo over the centre of the QR code.

✅ Is my data stored or sent to a server?
No. All QR code generation runs entirely in your browser using JavaScript. Nothing you enter — URLs, phone numbers, Wi-Fi passwords — is sent to any server or stored anywhere outside your device.

✅ How do I make a WhatsApp QR code?
